Alibaba Cloud, the data intelligence and digital technology arm of Alibaba Group, announces that it will maintain its position as the third-largest infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) provider globally in 2021.
With a market share of 7.4%, Alibaba ranks third for the fourth consecutive year, according to IDC.
IDC revealed that the global IaaS market expanded to US$91.3 billion in 2021, up 35.6% year-on-year. The top three IaaS vendors accounted for nearly 70% of the market share globally.
These results confirm Alibaba’s overall strategy to increase its global presence by strengthening its infrastructure and global network.
Currently, Alibaba Cloud, the data intelligence and digital technology arm of Alibaba Group, has 84 Availability Zones in 27 regions, providing cloud computing services to millions of customers worldwide.
